Cutting a swath through rows of cubicles at the ex-Condé Nast office, Alexander Wang brought his flavor of business wear to the runway at the New York Fashion Week.
With his Matrix inspired looks (complete with cool small sunglasses) blended with an 80’s power working girl look, he managed to bring it all together. His show had a lot of black themes, complete with black sheer tights and stiletto heels on most of the models, but still managed to fit in some beautiful pink pieces.
I really enjoyed this show and really hit home some of the deconstructed suit styles and sleek lines. The Wall Street themed business backdrop was neat and the whole show fit well together.
This show is to be his last in New York, since it’s already been announced that they are moving their show to Paris. There is a lot shifting in this industry, and this will not be the last of the disruption forces.
The NYFW is always an exciting time and there are tons of shows to take in.
Here are some of my favorite pieces of this show.
Now, I’m off to watch the other shows…Thank god for YouTube!!!
